We are delighted to announce Peter Shaw as our new Principal of Ark Blake Academy, a brand new non-selective secondary academy in East Croydon.

Mr Shaw is an experienced educator who has held senior leadership roles at several well-known and successful schools. He is currently Acting Headteacher/ Deputy Headteacher at The Grey Coat Hospital in Westminster, one of the top 100 performing non–selective state schools in the country.

“Founding Ark Blake Academy is a dream job,” says Mr. Shaw. “It is a privilege to help build a school that will provide an exceptional education for children in East Croydon. We are a new school with strong values and the highest expectations for the achievement of every child in our community, both in and out of the classroom.

“Ark schools allows pupils to develop the knowledge, skills and personal qualities to become the best they can be in all aspects of their life. At Ark Blake, I want to use my experience to help build an outstanding school, one that matches and exceeds the results of some of the country’s top-performing schools."

Parents and students interested in finding out more about Ark Blake Academy year 7 admissions will have the chance to meet Principal Shaw in person and hear more about to about plans and vision for Ark Blake Academy at one of several open days scheduled for September and October.
