Our community
Our pupils know and understand the importance of showing respect to everyone, whatever differences we may have. We aim to provide an inclusive environment that:
- ensures equal progress for all pupils, including those who receive pupil premium and SEND learners
- accelerates pupils’ social, moral, cultural and spiritual development in their first three years at the school through activities such as culturally themed assemblies and workshops on enterprise, self-confidence, resilience and mindfulness
- ensures pupils’ religions and cultures are respected through our food provision, where all food is kosher / halal, and a vegan and vegetarian option is always available
- enhances the welcome and integration process for mid-year joiners and those with English as an additional language, including a buddy system
Accessibility
Ark Blake is committed to providing a fully accessible environment, which values and includes all pupils, staff, parents and visitors regardless of their education, physical, sensory, social, spiritual, emotional and cultural needs. We are committed to challenging negative attitudes about disability and accessibility, and to developing a culture of awareness, tolerance and inclusion.
