On the evening of 14th January 2025, Ark Blake Academy hosted a highly engaging and informative Raising Achievements Evening for Year 11 students and their parents/carers. The event, held in a vibrant marketplace style, offered a unique opportunity for families to explore the range of resources available to support students in their GCSE studies.
Stands were set up dedicated to each subject area and attendees could meet with Year 11 teaching teams to discuss strategies for exam success. Teachers were on hand to provide valuable insights into their subjects, share tips for effective revision, and answer any questions regarding upcoming assessments.
A key highlight of the evening was the distribution of free revision materials, including study guides and printed resources, all aimed at helping students maximise their exam potential. In addition, a selection of heavily subsidised revision guides were available, providing an affordable way for families to invest in their child's academic success.
The feedback our principal, Mr Rispoli received from students and their parents/carers was incredibly positive.
The informal, yet informative nature of the event allowed for meaningful conversations between parents, students, and staff members. Our students and their families left feeling empowered, equipped with practical resources and a clearer understanding of the steps they can take to achieve their GCSE goals.
The evening provided an invaluable foundation for students as they continue their GCSE journey, with many expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming months of revision and study. With the full support of their teachers and families, Year 11 students are well on their way to achieving their full potential in the months ahead.
